Surveying employees
It’s easy! We’ll help you set up and conduct an employee commute options survey, then we’ll analyze the results and provide a written report. More
Emergency Ride Home
If you’re TriMet’s Universal Pass Program or if you subsidize at least $10 per employee per month for using alternative transportation, TriMet provides a free taxi ride in the event of a family emergency or personal illness for an employee who has taken alternative transportation to work that day. To schedule a ride, the employee transportation coordinator fills out an Emergency Ride Home voucher and calls one of the taxi companies listed on the voucher. The taxi company bills TriMet directly.
New-employee kits
One of the best times to educate employees about their commuting options is when they first start to work for your company. The Swan Island TMA will give you free transit kits for new hires, filled with service information, maps and trip-planning tips. Just call or email us when you need some.
Promotional materials
Both the Swan Island TMA and TriMet can provide you with brochures, flyers and other materials to help spread the word about your transit pass program.
Staff training
TriMet will train a member of your staff to serve as your employee transportation coordinator. They’ll show them how to effectively manage and promote your company’s transit pass program. Staff will also get a subscription to TriMet’s quarterly employer newsletter.
BUSINESS ENERGY TAX CREDIT (BETC)
BETC program provides 35% tax credits for investment in programs that reduce auto trips to the workplace.
